Promoting Sustainability Management

The Soken Group identified promoting sustainability management as a key measure in our medium-term business plan, "Advance 2025," launched in FY2023. Recently, expectations for corporations have expanded beyond merely generating economic value, as measured by financial indicators, to also include creating new value that tackles global environmental and societal challenges. The Soken Group is no exception. We, too, understand the need to grapple daily with increasingly complex social issues while driving our business initiatives forward and achieving corporate growth.

Realizing a Decarbonized Circular Economy

We will strive to visualize CO₂ emissions in all processes—from the procurement of raw materials to the production and delivery of products to our customers—and reduce them throughout the entire supply chain. We will also switch to safer, more secure products that incorporate reduction measures for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to mitigate the environmental impact of chemical substances. We are developing biomass-derived products to further reduce our dependence on fossil resources. As we solve these challenges, we will share our commitment to sustainability with our suppliers, embedding it across the supply chain to help achieve a decarbonized, circular economy.
