Our Approach to Compliance
The Soken Group aims to be a trusted and valued entity by adhering not only to laws and social norms but also by conducting business with integrity, according to the highest ethical standards. We aim to be a company group that is trusted and valued by all stakeholders.
We have established the Soken Code of Ethics to provide ethical guidance to all Soken personnel, including officers and employees. We work to foster compliance awareness through initiatives such as issuing a Code of Ethics Handbook, distributing CSR cards, and implementing compliance education and training programs. In order to promote and ensure systematic compliance activities, we have established compliance regulations and promote compliance activities within the executive organization led by the President. We have also established a Compliance Committee composed mainly of external officers as an advisory body to the Board of Directors, which monitors the compliance status from an independent and objective standpoint, making recommendations as necessary. We have established an internal reporting system to ensure early detection and prevention of any fraudulent or illegal activities. In addition to the internal hotlines for each group company, we have established an external hotline for all group companies manned by an independent external law firm, offering an environment conducive to reporting.
Compliance Promotion Structure
Compliance Committee
To ensure adequate and sound business activities for the Soken Group, we have established a Compliance Committee as an advisory body to the Board of Directors. The Committee meets quarterly to monitor the Group's compliance status from an independent and objective standpoint, making reports and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Internal Reporting Structure
We have established internal and external third-party hotlines to enable all employees, including those in overseas subsidiaries, to report and consult incidents of inappropriate activities that may be violating the law, our Code of Ethics, or any other rules and regulations. Through internal newsletters and regular internal meetings, the role of the internal reporting system and the reporting method is communicated to all Group companies on a regular basis. We have also established a women-only hotline to allow for easier consultation for female employees.
