To continue creating high added value, we will constantly adapt to societal changes and strengthen our research and development capabilities, which are the source of our competitiveness.
At Soken, we leverage our adjacent research facilities and production sites, enabling seamless collaboration from product design to prototyping, which ensures rapid and efficient scaling up of our products. We also promote open innovation and external collaboration as well as the use of AI to streamline our development system.
As technology becomes more sophisticated, creating new value requires exploring every avenue and tackling every challenge. To seize opportunities and drive innovation, it is essential for each of our engineers to remain vigilant, enhance their skills, and continually refine their expertise. This is what it takes to overcome challenges and accomplish tasks that once seemed impossible.
To both enrich people’s lives and help protect the global environment, we aim to move away from fossil resources and reduce organic solvents, utilize biomass materials, and otherwise further our commitment to developing sustainable products.

Management Structure
The Research & Development Headquarters drives innovation through the R&D Center, which is responsible for the development of basic technologies, and the Product Development Department, which attends to customer needs. To support these efforts, the R&D Center oversees intellectual property (IP) strategies and analytical methods, ensuring close coordination. In the realm of open innovation, we promote collaboration with other companies and academia, persistently challenging ourselves in the pursuit of new high-value-added products.
