Chemtree™ | Comb-Shaped Graft Polymer

Product Description

Chemtree™ is a graft polymer with an acrylic backbone, and is used as a functional coating material. By making the polymer comb-shaped while maintaining the weather resistance of acrylic, it is possible to achieve both adhesion to substrates and release from molds, which might be seen as incompatible.
The comb part acts as an anchor to the substrate, facilitating adhesion, whereas the backbone of the polymer trunk gives mold-releasing performance (water and oil repellency). Chemtree™'s functional comb-shaped backbone makes it ideal for use in coating materials for electronics and photocopiers.
