TsumuGreen | Plant-Derived Antimicrobial and Antiviral Agent
In recent years, antimicrobial and antiviral materials have seen widespread use in a variety of settings due to an upsurge in hygiene awareness. However, the majority of antimicrobial and antiviral materials, being primarily derived from petroleum and mineral resources, not only raise concerns over environmental impact and resource depletion but also pose a risk of inducing metal allergies upon contact with human skin. Conventional plant-based antimicrobial materials often faced limitations in application due to their solubility in water and volatility. Equipped with technology from the National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Soken has been advancing development to overcome these challenges. Samples are available upon request for incorporation into sprays, coatings, and raw materials.
Features
- Derived from plant-based polyphenols
- Insoluble in water but soluble in alcohol, ethyl acetate, etc.
