Crosslinked Acrylic Polydispersed Particles “MR Series”

Product Description

The Chemisnow™ MR Series, developed using our proprietary polymerization technology, consists of acrylic particles with a mean diameter of 1 to 10 μm. It features a wide particle diameter distribution, with crosslinking levels controlled according to the product no. For many years, it has been used as an anti-blocking (AB) agent for kneading into films, due to its high transparency, heat resistance, and solvent resistance; and as a cosmetic additive, due to the soft-focus effect caused by optical diffusion. Because of its low thermal decomposability, it is widely applied to such uses as a pore-forming material in molding porous materials.

Crosslinked Acrylic Polydispersed Particles “MR Series”

Features

  • Particle size can be controlled within the range of 1 to 10 μm.
  • Excellent heat and solvent resistance due to crosslinked structure
  • High transparency
  • Spherical
  • Low specific gravity compared to inorganic particles
  • Soft focus and soft feel due to optical diffusion
  • Improved fluidity, slipperiness, and spreading
  • Anti-blocking agent effects, film adhesion prevention
  • Short baking time due to low thermal decomposition
  • Low residual carbon content after baking

Principal applications

  • Cosmetics (foundation, etc.)
  • Anti-blocking agent
  • Pore-forming materials
  • Matting agents for paints and inks
